Rally Day – May and October

On the first Sunday in May and the third Sunday in October we celebrate what God is doing in our church with Rally Day.  On Rally Days, we have a special worship gathering that highlights the purpose of our church. We cancel Sunday School on Rally Days and take a little extra time to celebrate the church. Children ages 3 through 5th grade are treated to a unique worship experience specifically geared for them. Our Crider’s Church faith family takes a special building fund offering that day to help cover building expenses so that we are free to do ministry. After the service, we hold a pot luck dinner with lots of great food and time for people to spend time together in community.

Community Festival -- August
Each August we invite the community to come and enjoy a free Community Festival.  We offer activities for all ages: there are games and prizes for younger children, volleyball for those who enjoy the game, and prize drawings throughout the day.  We have the always-exciting dunk tank where you might just be able to dunk the pastor.  And then there is Smash-a-Car: you have the opportunity to beat on a car with a sledge hammer. All food is free at the event. We also have a chili contest with prizes.

Christmas Play -- December
Part of our celebration of the Christmas season is a play performed by the children and youth of the church. Preparation for this play takes most of the fall, and it is a great way for us as a church to emphasize the importance of the creative arts and to give our children and youth an opportunity to develop their creative genes.

Movie Night – One Friday a month during the Winter
During the winter, we host movie night in the Youth Room of our Family Life Center.  We show a variety of family friendly movies for your enjoyment. Free popcorn is available.
